2027 Praying Together with Children - Secondary

SECONDARY PRAYING TOGETHER WITH YOUNG PEOPLE 2027 is a weekday prayer resource designed to help teachers, parents and catechists lead prayer with a class or family of secondary children.   

This Companion Book is a handy B5 landscape print version of the online resource, providing a practical, easy-to-use copy of each weekday prayer. Spiral bound at the top, the book can sit open at the prayer for the day, making it easy to display and use when leading prayer.

Each weekday follows the same structure so that prayer becomes a familiar routine with a predictable flow. Friday's scripture is drawn from the gospel for the coming Sunday, and each page also features a cross in the liturgical colour of the day or season.  

Each daily prayer includes a response to the scripture reading through a variety of activities - such as short video clips, guided meditations, drama experiences, class discussions or action songs. Many of these reflections explore themes of social and emotional wellbeing, friendship, mission and justice, and compassion, helping children to engage more deeply with the Word of God and encouraging further discussion.

Online access and companion book must be purchased separately for each user or classroom, in accordance with copyright requirements for lectionary texts.
